Day 56- Last day and see ya soon

Wow, I can't believe my time in NYC is already up. It has been an amazing summer and one I will definitely never forget. From the people to the staff to my co-workers at TV Guide, this summer was more than I ever could expected. This program has changed so many lives over the years and it has changed at least one more this summer. My life has been changed for the rest of it because of this program and this summer.

I woke up this morning and started the day off by getting packed up and ready to go. I met my parents down and brought them up to help me pack and get things ready to go. I said my final goodbyes to the staff members and some of the participants and then headed out. It didn't quite hit me until I was walking around and thinking how much I love New York City and how I am going to miss it! I am going to miss everyone of the staff members and fellow dreamers that helped make this the best summer of my life. I headed back to work to see if I had left something, but couldn't get in, so I headed to Time Square and I got to say goodbye to Clarissa before I left. I was so happy I was able to see her before I left, she was one of my best friends that I made this summer, and it was so great to see her. She is going to do so well in life, and it was great seeing her and being able to say bye, or see you soon! After that I headed to the Dream Careers office and got a copy of the Dreamer Talk Box, which is in the process of getting cut up, so be watching for that soon. Then I headed to Penn Station to meet my parents and we headed to Newark, NJ where we are spending tonight. I will be heading back home tomorrow, and saying "see you soon" to a city and an area that I have spent the past 8 weeks of my life at. I love New York City, and I promise I won't be gone too long!

This summer went by so fast, saying my "see ya soon" to all the staff and people that I have gotten to know really well this summer was tough. But I know that I will be in touch with everyone and I know for a fact that everyone that I came in contact with this summer, made an impact on my life, whether it was big or small, they all did something to change my life, and make this summer the best one! So many things have happened over the past 8 weeks, and I want to say thank you for everyone that made it possible and that made it such an amazing experience! I will be starting my new blog tomorrow, and I can't wait to inspire more and more people! As I leave you tonight, remember that your dreams will come true, don't give up! And always...

Day 55- One more day

Todays blog is going to be short and sweet, because tomorrow is going to be a quick recap of the summer. I have learned a lot this summer and saying goodbye to people, but it's not as if I am saying goodbye for good, it is just "see ya later".

I woke up and headed to work, but didn't really do much the entire day, but once it was over I said goodbye to my co-workers and thanked then for everything they had meant to me this summer. And then I headed back to find my parents, and they were heading to a Yankees game. I headed back to the dorm and got ready for The Closing Ceremony for Dream Careers. It is still crazy to think that I have been with this program for 8 weeks and gotten so much experience through that time. I have some of the most amazing people ever throughout these 8 weeks, people that I will never lose contact with. Closing ceremonies were hard but it had to come to an end, and I know that this won't be the last time I see these people that have meant so much to me.

Over the past eight weeks I have become so used to the city atmosphere, and I have realized that so much is based on what I think about life and everything that goes along with it. When I go back home it will be different, but I know I am going to be back in NYC before too long. I can't say it enough, this summer has been amazing for me, and I couldn't have done it without anyone else! I love this city and I love Dream Careers!

Day 54- Times ticking... Parents are here...

Today was a tough day knowing that tomorrow would be my last day at work and the last day I was really going to get to see everyone before I head back home. I have learned so much over this summer and made so many great friends, it is definitely going to be so tough tomorrow night to say goodbye. But looking back at the summer, I have had so many great days that I wouldn't take back for anything, and my main goal is to make these last couple days the best days of the summer.

I woke up and headed to work, knowing that I only had a few things left to do for the entire week. I started finishing up the interviews and getting B-roll put in for the interviews, so they could be put on the web by this weekend. I ended up finishing them early and they got put on live tonight, so I am not sure what I am going to be doing tomorrow, but its the last day of work so anything goes. Not really, but I can't wait to go into work and just honestly think back on what this summer has meant to me and the great connections I have made and the people I will stay in contact with forever. I wouldn't have wanted this summer to go any other way than it did, and for that I am so grateful that I was put at TV Guide with the staff I worked with. It was one of the most rewarding opportunities and 8 weeks of my life.

About two o'clock, my parents got in to Port Authority so I went and met them and took them back to where I work to show them my office and studio. After work I took them back to the dorm and we packed and started cleaning up a little bit and just started getting me moved out. I still couldn't believe that this was actually happening. We then headed to a really great pizza/pasta place on University and then walked around to Madison Square Park and all around the area. After we got done there we headed back to just relax and pack up some bags. I said goodbye to them for the time being and they headed back to Newark.

It doesn't sound like much happened but it was so great to see my parents again after 2 months here in the city. The fact that I will be going home this weekend has started to set in and it definitely isn't that good of a feeling but I know that I will be back. Saying goodbye to friends that I have made and will keep in contact with will be tough, but it has to be done. A chapter is ending, and another one is about to start. And if you thought this chapter was good, just wait until you see what I have in store for the next one! I can't wait to see what is going to happen the rest of my life!!!! I'm living my dreams every single day!!!

Day 53- Two days left...

Over the next couple days, things are going to be tough, saying goodbye to friends and co-workers that I have known over these 8 weeks that I have been here in New York City is going to be one of the hardest things to do. Everything happens for a reason, and I know that I was brought to NYC and met these amazing people and for that I am so grateful. No matter what happens in life, I have a huge support system all around to encourage me and really let me know and show my dreams off!

Today was one of those slow days at work, where I have two projects that I have to get done by the end of the week, so I don't want to get them done now and have nothing to do for the rest of the time. I have been trying to spread them out as long as possible, but it looks like I am going to finish them both up tomorrow and just enjoy my last day of work to the fullest. I have learned so much this summer through my co-workers at TV Guide and one of the biggest things is the community that they have with each other. I work in a studio that is down the hall a little bit from where everyone else is, but I don't feel weird going and asking questions and the workers that I have worked with have been so helpful to me all summer. I was thrown into a tough situation at TV Guide at the beginning of the summer, but talking with my different co-workers they have had nothing but positive things to say. I have had so much responsibility over the past 8 weeks, producing my own videos for the website, going and shooting a Red Carpet Premiere, those things don't just come to just anyone unless they think I am doing my job well. I have noticed that since the 3rd week of the internship where if the freelancer couldn't be there they didn't worry, because they knew I could handle the studio. Because of their trust in me I have become so strong and have learned so much about the professional world.

After work I headed back to the dorm and got some dinner, and then headed to the Multipurpose room to learn a little bit about stocks. Lorenzo Perez one of the other participants had this dream during the first weeks of the program to hold a seminar about stocks and just the basics of how to buy, sell and trade them. It was so much information but I could really tell that he was enjoying himself and that he was living one of his biggest dreams. I loved seeing his vision and dream come together tonight and it made me think of my dream being accomplished a couple weeks ago and just the sensation and the feeling I had, you could really tell he had the exact same thing. It also affirmed the fact that Dream Careers is such an amazing organization and that they will do whatever it takes to help dreamers truly reach their dreams.

Today is a tough day to think about, because I really only have a couple days left with people I have gotten to know and grown with over the past 8 weeks. At the exact same time, I know that when I do leave tears will be shed and people will be missed, but I know that I am going to do whatever it takes to try and get back to NYC after I graduate next May. I love this city, I don't know if it took the big city atmosphere to really make me love what my dreams were, or if it was the support system that helped me every step of the way! I am going to miss this place, but until that time comes, its time to finish this chapter strong!!!

Dream ON!!!!

Day 52- Dreams drive me!

Today was one of those days that kept me busy, and it sort of felt like my last day in the city and the last day of work and things like that. I met with a couple people today during the day and just was a great day of reflection and what they thought about how I did this summer. It was a really encouraging day, and still crazy that it is almost over.

I woke up and headed to work a little early this way I could start working on some of the interviews to get done before the interview we had this afternoon got here. So I started working on the interviews from the past few days at work, and I am trying to spread these out till the end of the week, that way I am actually working on the last day of work instead of just sitting around and doing nothing. So I worked on those for a little bit, then lunch came around, and since it was Mickey's last day at work for the next 3 weeks I went out to lunch with him and Adam, one of the other editors. We went to the Oyster Bar in Grand Central and talked about the summer, and I asked them how they thought I did, and they were all compliments just thanking me for being a great intern and they thought I did a really great job with the tasks I was given and considering the circumstances that I was under they thought I did a superior job. It was so awesome to see and get that feedback, because them being so busy on a daily basis, you never know how you are doing or if they really notice. I honestly felt a huge high and was so happy I was able to meet with him and get his feedback before he left. After lunch we headed back to the office and I started editing again. Once 4:30 rolled around Tiffani Thiessen (Saved by the Bell, White Collar) she had an interview about her show White Collar, so it was fun meeting her and just seeing someone that I had watched growing up on Saved by the Bell. After the interview I uploaded the video into the computer and took off to meet Shelley for coffee.

I went to a little french restaurant and met Shelley for some coffee, Shelley is a girl that I met through Dream Careers at the alumni panel one night. She has interned at Regis & Kelly and currently works as a production assistant on the Gayle King show on OWN. When I first met her at the panel I was like this is someone I need to meet and get to know. Ever since then we have stayed in touch and just built a great relationship. We met and I just wanted to talk to her about my summer, she was a dreamer a few summers ago and just talking to her was just what I needed on my last week. We ended up talking for a little longer than 2 hours and it was just amazing to see how see has grown and what she went through to get to where she is today. She has been one of the biggest inspirations to me all summer long, and I can't wait to keep in touch with her over the rest of my career. It is people like that that keep me going on a day to day basis, because she is doing what she loves and I love that. I have made not only an amazing connection with her but I have made a great friend in the process.

I didn't get back to the dorm until around 7:45ish and just looking back at the day as a whole, it was amazing the conversations that I had with a couple of my co-workers and Shelley, and I wouldn't have taken them back for anything. This summer has been one of the most amazing summers of my life, and I honestly can't wait to go back to school and tell everyone about it. This organization has meant to much to me and the people that I have met have really meant the world to me as well. It will be hard to say goodbye to everyone at the end of the week, but I know I will see most of them again soon. My dreams are coming true every single day, and I can't wait to make other dreamers like myself feel the same way I do.

Day 51- Last Monday for this summer...

Today was my last Monday in NYC for at least another year and it didn't disappoint. The reason the blog is so early is because I am not really sure what is planned for tonight so I figured I would get it out of the way. It was your normal Monday in NYC you know go to work and then head back and maybe go out a little bit later. But overall it was a great day!

I woke up and headed in to work and had a busy day to start, I had to finish the interviews from last week to be posted tonight, so I got that done and then started working on the the interviews we had today. A girl from Nickelodeon and a couple from Style Network came in today and so I shot and started working on those. They aren't due until the end of the week, but I probably will end up finishing them in the next couple days. It is going to be a great day tomorrow with the interview we have coming in, and it should be a busy rest of the week which is really what I am looking for in my last week. I am getting lunch with Mickey and Adam tomorrow so that will be nice to just talk to them for a bit about the summer and just thank them for giving me this opportunity. It really has been an unbelievable summer and I can't wait to tell everyone about it!

I headed home around 5 and got a little dinner, then decided to just go walk around and do a little reading in Jack Canfield's Success Principles book, and really started to get encouraged. I have learned so much this summer, and just the nights that I have to myself to just relax and do a little reading really helps just remember and reflect over this summer and how amazing it really has been. Dream Careers has done so much in my life, and I really hope I get the chance to give back a little this next year and maybe become staff on Dream Careers. I can't wait until I head back home in less than a week, but at the same time, I will be saying goodbye to some friends that I have become so close with over this summer. But like I have said before, I don't plan on being away from NYC too long, just long enough to get a college diploma! So New York City you have not seen the last of me after this summer.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about what I am going to do after I leave here in regards to this blog and updating people on my life. I have decided to continue my blogging experience into another blog after I leave NYC. I am not sure what the title of it is going to be, but definitely something dream related. My dreams have fueled me all summer, and I cannot wait to see what other dreams I am going to be able to reach throughout the next year! I'll be keeping you posted on everything! Live it, Dream It, DO IT!!!

Day 50- Friends reunited and Dreamer Showcase

Sundays are always one of my favorite days of the week especially when I have had a busy week like the one I just had. It was so much fun to wake up this morning and just enjoy the nice weather outside, enjoy the fact that I was doing laundry for the week, but also a little hard because it is my last week in NYC. This entire summer has been a surreal experience and the people that have been with me throughout the entire thing know what has been going on. I can't say how much this summer has been just a dream come true and getting to really express my dreams to others really helped them to actually becoming a reality.

Today was a great day, like I said I started out by doing laundry and then I had lunch with one of my best buddies that I hadn't seen in about 3 years. Mickey Alvarez was in NYC for the day and part of last night and him and his parents came to Union Square to have lunch. It was so good seeing him since he was one of my best friends and someone I looked up to a lot in high school, and just to see him and meet his parents was a great way to spend the afternoon. I took them to a pizza place right across the street called BRAVO PIZZA and it is one of the best pizza places that you can go and get pizza. His parents are actually missionaries in Ecuador and they showed me a view outside their window and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, a snow capped volcano that was about 40 miles away. They also told me that if I ever wanted to come down and visit I had a place to stay and I would be taken care of. So I may have to brush up on my Spanish a bit and then take them up on that offer.

After lunch I headed back to the dorm and relaxed and got ready for the Dreamer Showcase tonight that Sam, Steve and Jeunevieve had been working on all summer, and also finished some laundry from the morning. Once that was completed I headed to a Resume/ Keeping your connections seminar that Cody was putting on, and listened to just what I needed to do to really make myself stand out and get the best deal possible. Once that was done, I headed into the Dreamer Showcase and it was just a night of reflection over the summer and whoever had something they wanted to share they shared it with the group. There was a great turnout and I was so proud of the staff members that put it on because I know they worked so hard, and it turned out to be great.

This week has probably been the best week of my life, when it comes to experience and my dreams and what I have wanted to accomplish this summer. Over the past week, I have hosted my own talk show, The Dreamer Talk Box (video still being edited) and interviewed my first celebrity, Jon Taffer, for TV Guide. Interview Here So it has just been an incredible week. Saying that, this next week is going to be the busiest but probably one of the hardest weeks in NYC this summer. At the end of it, I am going to have to say goodbye to some amazing friends that I have met and the connections that I have made. I plan on keeping in touch with my connections and the friends that I have made, but I also will be starting a new chapter, my final one of my college years. It has been a wild ride, and I have been through some tough stuff, but hopefully I will be doing what I love and that is what I can do! I love this city, and I am going to get back to this city no matter what it takes! Live it, Dream it, Do it!!!!

Day 49- Relaxing day in the City

Today was one of the most relaxing days, the day started out good, and then just kind of relaxed and settled down, which was nice after a busy week. I learned a lot about the city and different things that can be done and can't be done and it is definitely a good thing to know. I did some exploring this morning, and then just took it easy.

I woke up and headed to Intensati with Clarissa and Amelia because I figure it would be my last time I would be able to so I figured why not give it another shot. That started out the morning great and then I just hung out with them for a bit, we went and got a bit of brunch and headed back to the dorm, stopped by a street fair on the way that was near our dorm, and enjoyed that for a bit. Once we got done with that, we headed back to the dorm and I just relaxed for the majority of the day. I did a little bit of filming for the Dreamer Showcase that is tomorrow, and we did a segment for that. So that was definitely a lot of fun. But I didn't do too much, except take some naps and just getting ready for a busy day tomorrow and a busy last week in the city. Wow saying that is tough, to think that tomorrow will start the last week I have here in NYC, I hate saying it, but I am going to miss this place once I leave. But everyone keeps telling me, don't worry about when you leave, just figure out how you are going to get back. And that is going to be one of my biggest tasks this year, saving money, building my demo reel, and getting back to NYC next year! I love this place and I can't wait to hopefully spend more than just a summer in it someday. Here is my interview for TV Guide.... Jon Taffer Interview

People always ask me since I want to become a TV personality what is something that I want to do, or a certain event I would like to go to? I thought about it and there are a bunch of events that I would love to go to as a guest and actually walk the Red Carpet for: The ESPY's and the Oscars are probably the two biggest ones. Then I kept thinking to myself, how am I going to get there, and it is just amazing everything that popped into my head that moment, I honestly feel like in 5 years I will be the one that is walking the Red Carpet at the ESPY awards or at a huge award ceremony because in 5 years I am going to be a name people are going to know. This week was a big one for me, starting off with the Dreamer Talk Box last Sunday and then doing my first on camera interview for TV Guide this week as well. These are the steps I am taking to pursue my dreams and I honestly can't wait to see where it is going to lead me.

I have dreams, goals and passions; almost everyone does that is alive, they want to do something with their life. I think one of the things that separates me from others is the willingness to do whatever it takes. I take a little pride when I say I am good at what I do, God has really given me a gift and I love to show the world what he has given me. People also ask me, if you could meet or be like any TV talk show host or personality who would you choose. I tell them I want to be like Oprah, she has done so much and inspired so many people who have dreams and goals that want to get noticed. I want to be that person that makes a difference in peoples lives. I want to show the world that their are dreamers going after their dreams every single day, and that it doesn't take long to concur them. I can't wait to see what is going to happen this last week, and especially the rest of my life! I love it in NYC, and in 1 week, things are going to happen!!!

Dream ON!!!!

Day 48- What a Friday!!!

Today was a great day! The majority of my blog today will be about what happened at work. I was so excited about the things happening. I still can't believe that in a week I will be on my way home, and getting ready for my senior year of college. This last chapter of my college career is in my opinion going to be the best year of my life. It has started amazingly by this summer and me being blessed with a great internship and a great program in Dream Careers.

I woke up today and headed to work early, it was a beautiful day outside and I was just so pumped about this weekend and just excited to see what was going to happen. We had an interview today but what I worked on was the interviews we had yesterday and also finished my interview as well. I am starting to get the hang of this whole editing videos for TV Guide online and everything, and next week I am going to be the only one in the studio all week, so I will be producing all the videos that need to get produced. It is so crazy to think how when I first got there I was just watching and doing little things, but now I am producing and shooting the entire video and posting them online, with my name as the producer. I never would have thought that I would be doing so much this summer for TV Guide. I finished the interviews that we did yesterday and the day before and got those figured out. We also had Chris Gorham (Covert Affairs) come in for an interview so I worked on editing his interview that will be completed on Monday. Here is a snapshot of the interview I did with Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue... Video at the bottom!!!
After work I headed back and then went out for a little bit with Clarissa and Amelia and then just headed back to the dorm. It was a productive day, and tomorrow is going to be a lot of fun as well! I can't wait to see what happens in my last week in NYC!

Since I have been here in NYC I have realized the biggest thing that gets me through everyday is my support system around me. My family and friends from back home influence and encourage me so much it is so amazing to see that I can be so far away and still be on their minds. But not only back home, my friends that I have made through Dream Careers have been there for me as well. The staff for both Gramercy and Union Square have meant so much to me and I honestly think it is one of the most amazing summers of my life because of the support that I have been given. I couldn't do any of it with out them and I thank God every single day for blessing me with such amazing friends and family!!!

Day 47- Editing and Broadway...

Wow, I can't believe today is already over, and a day that was full of work and excitement definitely went by fast. And to think, my last day writing for this blog will be in 9 days. To think, in 9 days I am going to be going home and continue to pursue the dreams that I have been pursuing while I have been here in NYC. It is crazy that last December I didn't know what I was going to be doing this summer and one website changed all of that in an instant, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I woke up this morning and headed to work a little early and got some breakfast at Dunkin Donuts on the way, just a little iced coffee to wake me up. Once I got to work, I started working on my interview that I conducted yesterday of Jon Taffer. I really think it was one of my best interviews that I have done, and I can't wait for it to actually be posted online hopefully within the next week. After I started working on that for bit, we had the only interview for the day come in and it was a couple of the stars from the Bravo series "Flipping Out" so that was a fun interview to watch. Once that interview was completed I got all the footage and started to split it up into questions so Robyn could watch it. After I was done with that, I actually finished my interview with B-Roll and all the things we put in the video so that is completely produced and should be ready for broadcast once someone has looked at it. I worked on cutting the clips and then headed home.

Once I got back to the dorm I just relaxed and got some dinner before heading to my 2nd Broadway show, Avenue Q. And I don't really have much to say about it, it was one of the most awkward, crazy, funny, interesting shows I have ever been to in my life. I honestly don't know if I would suggest this to any people that I know just because of the humor and what went along with it. I went with some people in the Dream Careers program so it was nice to actually go with some people I knew and watch it with them. Afterwards Nick Meletio, Nick Mueller and myself headed to Jamba Juice for some smoothies and then just headed back. We ran into Emily Daniels on the way back who was on her way to go see the Midnight Premiere for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. And then we headed back to the dorm for the night.

It may not seem like today was that busy, but it was definitely filled with things that you can't get anywhere other than TV Guide and NYC... I tell you this every single day, I love this place, and if I had a choice I would stay here and make a living for the rest of my life. I know its going to be hard to say goodbye to people I have really gained great relationships with, but at the same time it will be nice to go home and see my family and friends before heading back for my senior year of college. I bid you farewell for this evening. Check ya tomorrow (or today).

Day 46- Dreams come true... even on Wednesdays

What a great day today was, it started out great at work, and then tonight's Dream Enabling seminar just capped off a great day. It is crazy because this entire summer the theme of Dream Careers is really going after and trying to accomplish your dreams no matter what it takes. I think that I have really taken that to heart and tried to do that every single day. No matter what you go through in a day, you always should have that drive to do something even bigger and better than the day before.

I woke up this morning knowing that when I went into work today, I would be getting ready to interview my first celebrity on camera. The star of the new show "Bar Rescue", Jon Taffer, came in the studio this afternoon and for the first time this summer, I got the amazing opportunity to interview him on camera. Now yes I have done interviews before, but I felt like this one meant more to me than the ones that I had done, because I told my boss at the beginning of the summer that I would love to get this opportunity and he remembered and asked me to interview him. It may have been one of the best interviews I had ever done, and to do it in front of some of my co-workers and also the rep for Jon Taffer was really special. After the interview I got some amazing feedback from both Jon and everyone else who watched the interview. They all were telling me they wouldn't have even known it was my first time if I wouldn't have told them, and that really just made me think to myself, that I love what I want to do even more. Getting amazing feedback from people that you just meet and talk to for 20 minutes really can make a huge difference in the way you think about things. After that I started to edit the interview and I will finish that up tomorrow.

Once work was finished I headed back to the dorm and got some dinner, skyped with the folks, and then just relaxed before the Dream Enabling Seminar.  Throughout the entire 6.5 weeks that I have been here we have really been encouraged by the staff members to really go after our goals and our dreams. I was thinking of when I first got here, and they told me to write some of my dreams for this summer down, and I wrote them down, and today the final one came true. Something really does work and throughout the past 6 weeks and the different sessions I have learned so much about myself and about everyone else around me. The other participants have done so much and I can really see how much some of them have grown. I never thought that showing up to these sessions every single Wednesday would actually do something, but they have affected the way I think and also the way I am acting on my goals. I love the fact that everyone joins together and really helps everyone else, the support has never been higher. The seminar tonight just was amazing to see what examples people had in their journey this summer to really achieving their different goals and dreams. I am a huge example of having a dream and a goal and going for it, and them actually getting accomplished. It has been an incredible experience.

I think everyday, what is going to happen once I leave here in a week and a half and go back home to my family and friends. I am excited to go back, but at the same time I have made life long friends that I can't wait to keep in contact with. From both Union Square and Gramercy the amazing people that I have met have done wonders. I really just want to give a shout out to all the staff for both programs: Heather, Krista, Pauleen, Kasey, Steve, Jeunevieve, Sam, Jenna, Abby, Andrew, Zach, and Michelle. And of course Elina and Jess who have all just encouraged me so much throughout the time that I have been here. They care about us as dreamers so much and I hope to be apart of what they are doing someday as well. Everyone dreams, everyone has goals, but it is what you do to capture those dreams and really go for it. I think if I have learned anything over the past 6.5 weeks, it is keep the friends that you have and don't be afraid to make new ones. I came into this summer not knowing anyone in the program, but I am going to leave here, with friends that I will have forever and connections that I will never lose.

Day 45- Tuesday another dreamers day...

Today was a great day at work and as just opportunities and opportunities happen it makes it tougher to say that I am going to be leaving NYC in a week and a half. I don't know what would have happened this summer if I hadn't found Dream Careers I would probably still be working at Skinny Dip this summer. There is nothing wrong with that, but I think I have gained so much experience and some amazing things that I am never going to forget.

I woke up and headed to work, and once I got into work got right on editing the clips from the past weeks interviews. I found some B-Roll for different clips and just started putting the interview all together. I am going to be working on finishing those up in the next couple of days. Well work went by really fast I believe because I just kept busy and just was doing something all day. I think if you want to pass the time just do something that will make it go by so much faster. The day may drag on, but do some work and feel accomplished. Well around the end of the day, Adam, one of the editors came into the studio where I was working and said we have a big opportunity for you. So tomorrow I am going to be doing my first on camera interview with Jon Taffer, for his new show on Spike, "Bar Rescue". This is the first chance that I am going to get actually being in front of the camera experience since working at TV Guide. I can't wait to get this experience and have this on my reel to tell people.

After work I headed back and I had an interview for the Campus Marketing Internship for Dream Careers with Jessica Larkin. The coordinator for the Gramercy program who is in charge of hiring, CMI's for this year. I honestly think it may have been the best interview I have ever done for a job. I felt like I really did a great job telling her why I would be the perfect person for the position and why I think I could end up putting Liberty University on the Dream Careers map! After that I went and met with Ellen my internship coordinator who has done so much for me throughout this summer and everything leading up to the program. If it wasn't for her helping me, I would never have had this internship at TV Guide, and she has just meant so much to me. I just talked to her a little about the Dreamer Talk Box and the internship and how everything is going just so great. After that I headed to the seminar and then talked to some of the staff about the Dreamer Showcase this weekend and the ideas for that.

Today was a great day, I am going to be able to experience another big dream of mine which is do an on camera interview at TV Guide that is actually going to be put online. I can't wait for this opportunity tomorrow and I will be keeping you updated as well. Dreams are meant to come true, I don't think anyone has dreams because they don't want them to happen. If you have a dream go out and do it. Don't be afraid to just take your dream by the horns and go in and get it. I did it, why can't you?

Day 44- Monday= Just a great day!

Today was a great day, definitely one of the more fun all around days that I had. I think I was just in such cloud nine after last nights show nothing could have gotten me down. I had a lot of fun at work and then coming back going to a seminar and then just hanging out with some of the staff members was a lot of fun. Lets see exactly what happened.

So I woke up this morning as usual and got in to work, and immediately started working on getting the studio set up for the interviews we had scheduled for the day. After that I started editing the clips from last week and getting them all cut down. The first interview today was with Eric Balfour (24, Haven) and he was a really nice guy to talk to for a little bit and he was a really good interview to watch. Everyday I learn new things within the studio and the interviews Robyn conducted today were great and I love watching someone that does it on a day to day basis and I can really learn from how she conducts herself through the whole thing. I love how things are going so great and it is going to be sad to leave TV Guide next Friday. I have learned a lot since I have been there, and have taken so much away from the experience.

After work I headed back and just relaxed for a little bit fixed myself some eggs for dinner, and then headed down for a promoters meeting and a seminar on Job hunting and apartment searching in NYC. So they talked about what to do and the big things to do while looking for a job and I really took a lot out of it and what they actually said and I know it is going to help me for the future. Dream Careers is such a great program that I have fallen in love with, and just the staff and everyone around you really cares and is always encouraging. That is one of the best things that I love about it. They are always behind you 110%. I actually stayed around after the seminar and hung out with the staff from Union Square and Gramercy and it was a blast. Definitely those two programs have the best staff anyone could ask for. I would put them up against any of the other Dream Careers programs all over the world, and they would win!

Today wasn't as eventful as yesterday was, but I learned that even though a lot doesn't happen, you can learn a lot. I love this program and I love NYC more and more every day. The people that are surrounding me encouraging me every step of the way is so nice, especially when I am away from home and from school. My family and friends back home encourage me so much as well, and it is just awesome to have everyone on my side telling me to pursue my dreams! I love it!

Day 43- One of the best days of my life... Dreamer Talk Box

I don't even know where to start with this blog, today was honestly one of sweetest days of my life from start to finish. If you would have told me that I would be doing what I did today, I would have thought it was a bunch of crap! But really living the dream was one of the most amazing feelings in my life.

The day started out perfectly, I woke up and got to see Elise McIntyre from school she was visiting a church in NYC that was really close to where I live so it was great seeing her. After that, I headed to the Bronx for my 3rd Yankees game of the summer. The Yankees were facing off against the Tampa Bay Rays in one of the best pitching match ups I have ever seen. C.C. Sabathia pitched for the Yankees and was lights out. His past few starts had been amazing and he just continued the streak today. He pitched a complete game 4 hit shutout against the Rays. I have never seen a pitcher so dominate throughout the entire game of baseball. It was definitely a great way to start off the day. After the game I headed back to the dorm and it was ready to get going, the show was about to start!

Once I got all ready and all that, I headed to the Multipurpose room where we had the Dreamer Talk Box around 5 to get everything settled and figured out. We ran through the format a few times of the show and exactly what I was going to be doing. The entire time I was just filled with nerves and butterflies inside of me not knowing how this was going to be or if anyone would show up or anything like that. Well it was 7:15 and showtime was happening, they started playing the music and I just got so pumped up about life at that moment and that what I was about to do would top anything else that happened this summer. Thinking to myself this is going to be amazing, and just opening the doors when I heard my name being announced was the best feeling in the world, running around the audience sitting down with them for fun, and then delivering one of the most memorable monologues in Dream Careers History!!!! The show went on for about 45 minutes and it went really smoothly, I gave out some prizes, talked to Nick Meletio and Kelsi Kimball, and then had the best musical guest Rico perform one of his tracks! The night ended with hugs from everyone that was there and just nothing but great things being said about it. I was so worried it wasn't going to turn out well, but in the end, it was so much better than I could have ever hoped and dreamed it to be. After the show Nick and I headed out for some dinner to cap off an unbelievable night!

The footage from tonight will be available in a few weeks or so, but once I have it, I will do my best to post it and get it so everyone can see it! Tonight was unbelievable and I don't think anyone could have scripted this day any better. Yankees game and then the talk show, I am so fortunate to have friends and family who encourage me through everything I do. No matter what may seem impossible, know that as long as you have people who love you and are supporting you around the equation you can't go wrong. A big shout out to James, Cody, Heather, Krista and Elina who helped make this dream a reality. And thank you to all of you who came out tonight and supported one of my biggest dreams! This is only the beginning, more things are happening!!!

Day 42- One day to go...

Wow, so lets just say this post is going to be short and sweet, because I didn't really do too much. I got ready for one of the biggest nights of my life which is going to be tomorrow. I am hosting the first ever Dream Careers Talk Show, The Dreamer Talk Box tomorrow night and it is going to be one of the biggest dream come true moments in my life. I honestly cannot wait to write my post tomorrow and tell everyone how it went!

I woke up this morning and headed off to Flushing, NY to Citi Field, I picked up a couple Mets tickets to give out on the show tomorrow as the grand prize, and then I went to Time Square to pick up a few more things. After that I came back to the dorm and started finalizing my monologue for tomorrow. I think I am more nervous about this than I will be tomorrow just because all I did was prepare and think about it. I relaxed a lot today and didn't really think too much about anything other than the show. I have been thinking about this moment and getting everything prepared for the past month, and tomorrow it is all going to come together. Working with Cody, James, Heather, Krista and Elina over the past month and seeing this dream actually revolve into the reality it is going to be tomorrow, is just so amazing. Great things really do happen to people who wait and really work hard for it. Tomorrow is going to be an amazing day and I can't wait to express everything with you all then.

Like I said, today not too much really happened today, tomorrow is going to be the big blog and what is going to really make my summer complete. I mean I will still have two weeks left but tomorrow is going to bring together a month of hard work and put it all together. I want to thank everyone who has helped me with this dream from the start, family and friends back home, thank you for encouraging me to go after my dreams, tomorrow is for you! I will make sure to let everyone know how it goes, stay tuned.

Day 41- Another day closer...

Wow, I can't believe it has been 41 days here in New York City, and I have 2 weeks left before I head home and then back to school for my senior year of College! I really think the one thing in my life that I have taken advantage of is the time. I always think, Oh there is so much time in a day and in my life, I have plenty of time to do this or that. But when you get to the reality of it, you don't have much time at all. Time has flown by so fast I can't even begin to imagine me entering the real world after I graduate next spring. And to think that this summer is almost over, is really a hard thing to swallow.

My day started off like it usually does, woke up and headed to work, didn't stop for any coffee or anything because I got a bagel once I got to work. So yeah, not only do we have vending machines that only cost 25 cents to get something, but we also have "free bagel Friday" so I got my bagel and then got to work on finishing the Danielle Staub interview, that will go live on the site this weekend. This is the first interview that I have completely produced by myself for TV Guide. I will put the link up on here once it is published on the site so everyone can see it, but it really was a huge deal for me because hundreds or thousands of people are going to watch that and I am going to be the one who put it all together. Once I finished that, Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) came in and did an interview with Adam in the studio, so I got everything set up and made that happen. I then took the interview from yesterday and the one from today and split them up so it would be easier to finish editing them once I got in on Monday. That pretty much is what I did all day, it doesn't sound like much, but it definitely kept me busy throughout the day.

Once work was over, I headed back to the dorm and wondered what I was going to do tonight. It was raining outside, the Yankees postponed their game, and my monologue was written. So I decided to do a little laundry, and let me tell you there is nothing better than the feeling you get after doing a load of laundry. Especially when you are finished with it folding it, and listening to Michael Buble, Josh Groban, and Frank Sinatra, it really doesn't get better than that. So that is what I have been doing since I arrived back to the dorm from work, the night is still young, but who knows what I am going to be doing for the rest of it. I have a busy day tomorrow though, I am going "prize" shopping for the talk show, the goal not to spend more than 40 bucks on prizes. I would say that is going to be hard in any other city but, I am in NYC, so that is going to be a lot easier than I think.

It is crazy that one of my biggest dreams is going to come true on Sunday night, and then after that, it is up to me what I do from there. I don't know what the big picture is, only God does, but I am going to go after my dreams and my goals no matter I have to do to get there. I have been blessed so much with friends and family that have supported me throughout my entire journey! I can't wait to really see how this talk show works out and the response I receive from it. I challenge you that are reading this though, to not take your time here on Earth lightly. It will go by way to fast and before you know it it is up and you are left regretting not doing something when you actually were able to. Make it happen now, and don't wait. You have to chase those dreams now, before it is too late! This weekend is set up to be an amazing experience and a Dream Careers First, and I am going to be the one to kick it off!

Day 40- Just a great day to be alive

Today was full of fun and excitement, when it comes to looking at the future and what I plan on doing for the rest of my life, I feel like today was one of those days that could I could see myself being apart of everyday. In a little different perspective but all the same, doing what I love doing and that is sharing my dreams with others and letting them share theirs with me.

The day started out at around 7 o'clock this morning, when I woke up out of my bed and started to just think. Think about the summer and what I was going to do in NYC that I haven't done yet. I mean I only have just over 2 weeks left to get everything that I have wanted to get done done. And I mean for the most part I have done a lot of things that I have said I was going to do, I mean you have read my posts, and things have gone great so far. So I guess I may have to think a little harder about things I may want to do before I ship it out of NYC in 2 weeks. I headed to work, and today was going to be a busy day, the first interview we had was with Danielle Staub (Real Housewives of NJ) she has been called reality TV's #1 Villain. So it was kind of sweet to meet her, but I have been working on that interview and going to be able to publish it tomorrow for the site on Sunday! Then we had another interview with Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) he was a really nice guy and I got to actually talk to him for a bit before and after the interview. So that was pretty much my day at work, just getting B-roll for those shows and editing the interviews. Tomorrow is going to be busy finishing those up.

After work I headed to the Dream Careers office and met with the planning staff for The Dreamer Talk Box, and went over the final script and how everything is going to work out. I got really pumped watching some of the segments we have and just knowing that it is actually going to happen. Ever since we finished the meeting I have been working non-stop on finishing this monologue so I have something to go by on Sunday when this thing really happens! It is pretty much done, minus a couple things I will add the day of if certain events happen. But the majority of my day was spent at work and just doing the interviews and working on those, and I honestly loved every bit of it. I know that I don't want to be an editor after I graduate, but it is great at the moment because I learn how things go on behind the camera so when I get in front of it, I have so much more respect for the people that actually make me look good.

I said up top that I could see myself going through a day like today every single day of my life. If I become a TV personality or a talk show host that is what I am going to be doing, I am going to be conducting interviews, sitting in meetings for the show, and everything. No matter what it takes I have to start somewhere and this is a great place for me to be at the moment. I love NYC and will be upset when I have to leave in a couple weeks, but I know that the plans that God has for me in my future are going to be huge as well, this next and final year at Liberty is going to open up so many doors. I am shaping up for the future NOW! And I am willing to do whatever it takes to get where my dream really is!

Day 39- YES, YES, and YES!!!

Wow, what a day, it started amazing, and finished amazing! Like I said yesterday, there are some days in life that are better than others, and some that are worse than others, well today, let me tell you this, it was one of those better days hands down!

I woke up and headed to work to do my everyday duties as the Video Intern for TV Guide, I arrived at my building on West 42nd Street sat down and looked up some clips for possible broadcast on the player, got those figured out and then I got an email that made the morning amazing! I got an email from Liberty congratulating me on making the Dean's List for my grades this past semester. The Dean's List is for anyone whose GPA is a 3.5 or higher for any given semester, I have never gotten on the Deans List and this was just one of those things that was amazing to hear. All the hard work really paid off, and it has driven me to I really think go for it again and again, no matter what it takes just go for whatever you think you can do, and you will do it! I could go on and on about what was going through my head when I received that email, but it made me so proud of myself. I thought to myself, this really happened, you worked hard, and you achieved something that isn't easy to do in college. After that moment, the day honestly couldn't get bad, no matter what happened it couldn't. The day from there just got better and better, I was told that I was going to be running the studio for two interviews tomorrow and then another one on Friday! That is definitely a big opportunity that my boss trusts me to get it done and get everything in working order, and I am not going to let him down. We finished the day with a meeting talking about the Fall Preview which will come out in about a month.

After work was finished I came back to the dorm and started working and finalizing things for the Dreamer Talk Box on Sunday. I met with the musical guest, Rico, about the format of the show and what we were going to be doing. Which was a huge thing, because it made me realize this is actually happening and in less than 4 days too. After I met with him, I headed down to the Commons and waited until the Dream Enabling Seminar started and that was just an amazing experience as well. Every week just working on my dreams and goals and what I want to get accomplished in my lifetime. I learn something new about myself and someone else that is there every single week, and I really think that this is a huge way to really get your dreams out there and let others know what you want. After that finished up I talked to Kelsi about the format of the show and what was going on since she is going to be one of the guests that I will be interviewing. I then came up to the room to write this for all of you.

Today was amazing, nothing could have made this day go bad, I love days like today when you can just get up and conquer the day with no worries in your mind. I can't wait for the next 4 days of excitement and just being so busy getting ready for the show on Sunday and for the interviews at work! It sometimes takes a day like today to really make you think about how fortunate you are to have the opportunities that are given to you. I am so blessed to be able to go to work everyday with the thought that I may be given a huge task or job to do, and then after work coming home to friends that are continuously encouraging me to go after what I want and what I love doing. It is amazing that I have been placed here this summer to do everything that I have accomplished. There is so much more that is still in store for me, and I am going to do everything it takes to make my dreams come true!!!

Day 38- It's going to be tough...

I must say, I had a tough time convincing myself to actually write this blog post, because this past weekend was just epic! Especially yesterday being the 4th of July and getting to attend 2 of the most amazing events that America has to offer on the 4th of July. But I thought to myself there are hundreds and hundreds of people all around the world that read my blog everyday and I can't disappoint you all at home. So don't be expecting any fireworks to be flying today.

I woke up this morning, and didn't feel too good, everything from the weekend was catching up to me, the standing all day yesterday, and walking around so much as well. So it was definitely a big struggle to get out of bed and get ready for the day. Once I got up and got going, I headed off to work, and when I first got there I did my everyday thing, go in and check if there are any videos for shows that are coming up. I was lucky that there were a few clips but, none of the big shows had things going on with them. So I worked on the talk show stuff a little while I waited to get my next assignment from Mickey. Once I got that, I started re-working on the categories for the actors and putting them in different sections. I actually enjoyed doing that for when I actually was working on it. Once I got done that I was done for the day and headed to the Dream Careers office to meet with Cody and James about the show on Sunday.

If you all didn't know, I am hosting the first ever Dream Careers talk show on Sunday, being entitled "The Dreamer Talk Box with Robbie Vogler". This has been one of my biggest dreams to actually host my own talk show, and this Sunday it is going to happen. We are going to have an audience and everything. We chatted about some logistics for a little while and then brought out a script of the show. It should be fun, and I am looking forward to really getting this opportunity to show what I can do. After that I headed back to the dorm, and I walked back and it was a nice little walk back! And just enjoyed the rest of the evening.

Today was a struggle, especially after the best weekend in NYC! But I have learned you are going to have days that are worse and better than others. This coming up weekend and this past weekend, are probably going to end up as the best weekends I have here in NYC, and I am totally fine with that. Tomorrow is going to be a new day! And I can not wait to go out and concur it! Thank you to all my friends, family and fans out there that are watching to see what my next Big Story from the big apple will be! I will check at yall tomorrow!

Day 37- July 4th American Style!

Today, I was proud to be an American. Today I lived the American Dream. And Today I felt more American than I have in my entire life. Being in NYC you never know how you are going to feel when it comes to culture and the things that surround you. There are so many different people from all over the world in one place and sometimes it can get a little crazy. But today those others things were put to the side, for one day, this city became America's home base and put on a couple of the Nations most talked about 4th of July Events: The Nathans Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest and the Macy's 4th of July Firework Spectacular, and I was there to witness both.

I woke up this morning as a man on a mission, I met up with Kenneth and Sunny and we headed down to Coney Island for one of the biggest events that happens in the country on the 4th of July, The Nathans Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. We got there around 9:45 and it was the perfect time to get there, we got ourselves a place to the right of the stage if you were looking at it, right near the front. So you couldn't have asked for a better place to sit! The event started around 10ish with the opening band who played a bunch of American Classics to open it up. It was the best pre-show concert I have ever seen, and then the announcer came on and got the crowd riled up and ready to go. They started out with the Womens competition first, and it was the first time they had a women's and men's divisions separate and the woman that won, Sonya Thomas, devoured 40 hot dogs in 10 minutes. It was one of the craziest things I have ever seen before. After the woman were finished the main event occurred, broadcasting live on ESPN from Coney Island, I watched the replay of it afterwards to see if I found myself, and sure enough I was there! The main event and defending champion Mr. Joey Chestnut took the stage, the crowd went crazy! Definitely a huge crowd favorite was Chestnut and he didn't let his fans down. He successfully defended his Mustard Belt by eating 62 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. I thought Thomas putting down 40 was impressive, but I don't think I have ever seen anything more disgusting but at the same time more "brilliant" in my life! Yes I said the word Brilliant, it takes a very special person to do what Chestnut did today, winning the title for the 5th straight year in a row. After it was finished the three of us hopped on a Subway and headed back to relax before the evening of fireworks.

After I got back I chilled for bit, and then headed to Chelsea Piers for the famous Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular! Talk about your rush of people I went with a friend of mine Julie from the program and we headed to 24th street and ended up less than a block away from the pier in perfect position to see the fireworks. I can't really tell you how amazing they were, because words don't even say anything about them, I took a video that I will post on Youtube, so all of you can see how amazing these fireworks really were. It was definitely the best fireworks that I have ever seen in my life, just the fact that I was there watching them, in NYC on the 4th of July was almost surreal. I will let you know when that video is posted so you can see the most amazing fireworks display ever!

Like I said up top, I felt like the ultimate American! I watch the Hot Dog Eating Contest every year at home, but never really experienced it until today, and it was fantastic! I also watch the Macy's fireworks at home if I am not watching some somewhere else, so it was amazing to be apart of that as well. New York City is the great American Melting Pot, no matter where you are from or what you do for a living, NYC is a place where everyone can come together. Today New York City WAS America! And I had the privilege of experiencing two of the greatest 4th of July events that happen in all of America! I love this city and I love this country! This weekend was by far the best weekend since I have been here in New York, and I honestly don't know how it is going to be topped. I have my talk show next Sunday so, that may do it, but for a whole weekend to be filled with such events that are so popular, was just amazing! Happy Birthday America, and thank you to everyone that made this weekend so special! God Bless!

Day 36- Another day in the city... July 3rd

So tonight's blog post isn't going to be that special, its going to be short and sweet and to the point, that way when I write tomorrow's post it can be long and very detailed, because here in America tomorrow we are celebrating the birthday of the United States of America. I am in the best place to celebrate this momentous occasion and I am going to be doing it in style! But first let me just run you through what my day looked like.

I woke up really early and got some laundry done, it was nice to get that out of the way so I didn't have to worry about it tomorrow and I still have some clothes to wear for the week. Then I went out and walked around for a bit, but it was very rainy outside so that didn't last for too long. I headed back to the dorm and just relaxed watched a couple movies, and then hung out and wrote a lot of blueprint material for my talk show that is a week away! Ever since I have been living here in NYC things just seem to happen at the right moments, I mean last night was amazing just hanging out with a couple friends that I knew who they were, but got to know them a bit better from the cruise, and then going to see a movie with some other friends tonight was awesome as well. This talk show has been one of the biggest dreams of mine since I arrived in NYC, not many people can say they have hosted a talk show in NYC, I can only think of a few and those are pretty big names. I can say that I did that when I was here this summer, and it is going to be amazing. Like I said I went to the movies with some friends, and we went to see Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and I have to be honest I was impressed, I don't know if it was worth $18 to watch in 3D but it was definitely an experience. So I would suggest going to watch this movie with some people, but you don't have to see it in 3D to get the whole affect, regular 2D is fine.

I am writing this blog with huge expectations for tomorrow, I am getting up early and heading to Coney Island for the Hot Dog Eating Contest that is going to be on ESPN ( Watch for me) @12pm. And then coming back to Manhattan to watch some fireworks with some other great people. It is going to be one of the best 4th of July celebrations I have ever been apart of. History in the makings is what is in store for me. It is going to be a crazy day, but it is going to be so worth it in the end. This summer has brought me closer to friends and family here in NYC and also back home. I love it here and I don't want to leave, but it makes me more excited about my last year at Liberty next year, and what God has in store for me in the end. No matter what, he determines what happens, and I love that. I just live my life, and he takes care of the rest! Also I am posting a picture from the dinner dance cruise last night, on my blog from last night, so check that out as well!!! Talk to you tomorrow!

Dream ON!!!!

Day 35- I'm in a park, and then I'm on a boat!!!

Today may have been one of the sweetest and most exciting day I have had here in the city, when you start off at Dream Careers you hear about a Dinner Dance Cruise that you go on, and tonight was the night, and I have to say it did not disappoint one bit. I had a great time tonight, and the day started out with a little fun stroll through Central Park, which was also a lot of fun.

So I woke up and had things I had to get done today, and one of those things was get myself a watch for tonight's dinner dance cruise on the Hudson, so I woke up and actually headed to Central Park. The plan was to get there a little early walk around and then go see the people doing intensati in the park. Well my plan was going great until I actually got to Central Park and started walking around. I tried to remember what street they usually meet for intensati so I just ended up walking around and walked all the way down to like 90th street, I had no clue where I was going. Once I got out that far, I figured I may want to start heading back, because I wasn't anywhere close. So I headed back, and started looking for spots that looked familiar, well easy enough, I found my way back to where they were doing the intensati workout and watched them for a bit. Then I headed back to the dorm, and got ready to hit Chinatown! For you guys that don't know, Chinatown has a lot of great deals on watches, and other random items, I told myself I was not leaving there without a watch and I did some walking around and looking and scouting out the best one, and I came across this one...

I think I chose a pretty good one, and got a good deal on it as well! Once I got done purchasing the watch, I headed back to the dorm to relax and just get ready for the night.

I got ready and headed down to the Commons where everyone was meeting and actually ended up taking a cab with a couple of friends from the program, Heather and Sarah. We were the first ones at the Pier and just enjoyed the perfect night. Once we actually loaded the Spirit of New Jersey, we went and walked around and checked out the top deck and all that stuff, the boat was really nice, it reminded me of The Spirit of Norfolk back home, with the dinner and just the perfect night. The whole thing was from 8-11, and now I am back writing this. It was a lot of fun and just getting to know people and enjoying the skyline at night of NYC and Lady Liberty, it was a fascinating night with fascinating people, it was definitely one of the best nights I have had in New York since I have been here. Here is a picture of my dates for the cruise, definitely the best dates a guy could ask for...

Today was a blast, from just walking around the park, to making a deal in Chinatown, to a Dinner Dance Cruise on the perfect night of the year! Nothing made today bad, and that is one of the great things about NYC, I have said it before, you may be having a bad day, but it only takes a few things that you see to lift your spirits right back up! I loved just walking around Central park and seeing what it really has to offer. Again, I love NYC and it is going to be hard to say goodbye in a few weeks, but until then, the weekend is still young! Tomorrow and Monday are going to be a lot of fun! I have a great feeling!

Day 34- Not to much, but Happy Canada Day!

Today was another one of those nice relaxing days at work and once I got back to the dorm. I wish I could tell you more about the day, but I didn't do much exploring, but a lot of planning for the Talk Show, Which I love doing so it wasn't too bad!

I woke up and celebrated Canada Day by having a coffee at Tim Hortons before work, I got into work and every Friday we have free bagels in the kitchen area, so I grabbed one of those and got to work. Today was a half day at work so not a lot of people showed up at the office and there wasn't really too much for me to do, so I just kind of worked on a little stuff for the talk show and then a few things that I had to do for the office. It is nice to be able to go into work and just enjoy the office and sometimes not much is going on so just watch some episodes that I have missed from the week. The relaxed work environment is very nice, because you have deadlines and you work really hard, but everyone in the office is real nice. So I got done with work around 1ish and then it was time to head home for the long weekend.

Once I got back to the dorm, I got some lunch at a pizza place across the street, that is amazing New York pizza! Headed back and ate it while watching some episodes of Andy Griffith, and just relaxed for the remainder of the night. Like I said at the beginning I worked a little bit on the Talk Show things, just different segments I am thinking about having and if I am going to be able to have any sweet giveaways. We will see what happens, I actually went to room 1207 and celebrated Canada Day with some friends, and they fixed some Poutine which is a Canadian Delicacy I believe. So that was fun to celebrate with some friends and meet some new people as well.

Today wasn't too exciting but tomorrow is the Dinner Dance Cruise which is going to be a blast, and of course the weekend is 4th of July! A lot is going to happen this weekend, not sure exactly what I am going to be doing, but definitely nothing too crazy. I have to go buy a watch tomorrow in Chinatown, so I have a nice one for the cruise, hopefully I can talk my way down to a reasonable price, and get a good deal. The Challenge for the day is, RELAX sometimes, don't feel like you have to be doing something all the time, take a day or 2 this weekend to just relax and enjoy the air, go for a nice drive or just walk around! It really is nice, Thanks everyone for reading this!
