A Mile (1/2) a Day - Day 32

So for the longest time, I have always woken up super early because for some reason my body hates me. For the first time I woke up this morning and thought to myself, what if all those months ago, my body just had me wake up at 6am each day because it knew down the road I would be doing some sort of running challenge and would want to wake up and get my run in. This morning I woke up at 6am, I drove to Oak Grove Lake in Chesapeake, and I ran a mile and a quarter. I missed not having Katie there with me this morning, because it's hard to settle into a pace when you are by yourself. I know I've been running for 32 days, but it still is hard for me to find a pace and stick with it the whole time, I'm always either too fast or too slow out of the gate and it affects the remainder of the run. Either way, I felt decent this morning, my legs were so tired right when I got up and I was hoping they weren't going to feel like bricks during the run, but they loosened up and felt great. I know its only been a couple days at this distance, but I'm beginning to become more comfortable in my running abilities, and I'm excited to expand on that in the coming days!

I need a new pair of running shoes, I need suggestions. You know what distances I'm running, so I don't need a super long distance pair, just a good comfortable pair of running shoes. Comment below if you have any suggestions! Thank you all, lets do it again tomorrow.
