Day 33 - The Old Proving Grounds

Day 33

It has been a crazy last month or so, starting to run and feeling confident in what my body is actually capable of, but that means it's been a very big time for personal growth. The people I've met, and the people who tell me what I am doing inspires them makes the pain of some of the runs completely worth it. Today's run was such a fun one, I got to catch up with one of my good friends PJ Costanza as he ran with me for today's Mile and a Quarter. We also went back to out old stomping grounds, The Great Bridge High School track to do our run. I was nervous at first, not really being a huge fan of running on the track, but overall I felt pretty good. PJ had his dog Branch out there running with us, and man was he full of energy, I don't think he stopped moving the entire time we ran the 5 laps and walked another one. Running has helped me rekindle friendships and relationships that I hadn't been able to for a long time. Seeing Mr. Nieter last week for the first time in 9-10 months was awesome and being able to hangout and run with PJ was a great time as well. I know I have also said it before, but just being able to run with Katie every once in a while has been such a fun thing for me, we both may hate running, but I'm so thankful she doesn't mind going for a run from time to time.

What did I listen to? Nothing, had a good conversation with PJ about life.

Verse of the Day (From my Devotional): John 14:12-14, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."

The next couple of months are going to be busy on the weekends, but I promise I will still get my run in no matter what it takes! Thank you all for the encouragement and well wishes along the way, I'm still going strong and still don't plan on stopping anytime soon! Let's do it again tomorrow!
