Day 39 - Big Dipper on Duty

So this morning I was able to catch up and run with one of my former bosses Molly from The Skinny Dip. She likes to get up early and get her run in, so we decided to open up Oak Grove Lake before the sun had even risen. I will tell you this right now, it is amazing how much 30 minutes of sleep can do for you, I was so tired this morning but that didn't last long as we started running around the lake. It was fun to catch up with her, like I said earlier, we both used to work at Skinny Dip back in the summer of 2011 and it's cool that we've been able to keep in touch ever since. She asked me something during our run about if there was anyone is the Hampton Roads CrossFit Community that I didn't know, and that got me thinking, I'm pretty sure I know the majority of the people in the local CrossFit Community and I love being able to have the outlet to meet many more along the way. I would say that if it wasn't for CrossFit and the Journey it has brought me on, I wouldn't be doing this running challenge, and I certainly would not be emceeing events all around the country. I'm blessed and honored to be able to do what I do and have the outlet I have. Not only has running the past 39 days had a huge impact on my life, but the past 5 years since starting CrossFit has truly been incredible.

What did I listen to: Nothing but the birds waking up

Verse of the Day: Mark 11:22-26, "Jesus replied to them, 'Have Faith in God. I assure you: If anyone says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore, I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for--believe that you have received them, and you will have them. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that you Gather in heaven will also forgive you your wrongdoing. But if you don't forgive neither will your Father in heaven forgive your wrongdoing.'"

Thank you again for checking in, if you'd like to donate to my new running shoe fund or subscribe to the blog you can do so on the right side of this page. Tomorrow and Sunday's runs are going to be interesting. It may be treadmill runs for the rest of the weekend, which means tomorrows blog will probably happen in the evening. Stay tuned!
