Day 40- A Rainy Day in Richmond

This morning was an interesting one. I had to wake up early to get my run in since I have SuperFit Richmond this morning also. So I woke up at 10 til 6, walked outside my hotel room and cue the rain. I couldn't believe that it had started raining while I was out there. But nonetheless it was perfect because one lap around my hotel was exactly a quarter mile, I measured it out last night. So I started and with every lap the rain started to fall harder and harder like Mother Nature was telling me stop and run later. But I said,"Nooooooo!" And I finished the run. Because it was already humid outside and I was already started, so why the heck wouldn't I just finish what I've started? I've learned a lot about myself as all of you know, but I think the biggest thing I've learned is, even when the conditions may not be ideal, even when you feel like a zombie, once you start you have to finish. Whether it's a run, or a CrossFit workout, sometimes just putting your head down and pushing through it is the easiest thing to do! I may not like running, but I enjoy the satisfaction of finishing a run and have enjoyed finishing a run the past 40 days!

What did I listen to? Pop Fitness workout radio on Pandora (I need more suggestions)

Verse of the Day: Mark 12:31, "'The second is: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.'"

Being on the road as much as I am with events makes it hard sometimes to get a run in, but I love that extra challenge! If you'd like to subscribe to this blog or donate to my running shoe fund you can do so on the right side of the screen! Thanks everyone and let's do it again tomorrow.
