Day 50 - "You're gonna need a new pair of shoes"

Tuesdays are always tough to wake up in the morning because I normally work the night before and don't get back to my house until around midnight. So having to wake up at 6am and go for a run isn't the easiest thing. Especially over the past couple weeks as we start getting into the hottest and most humid parts of the summer its so hard to stay motivated to wake up and go for a run. I walked outside and it was as humid as ever, I mean I opened the shades in my room and I could barely see outside because it was so hazy. But nonetheless I got out there and ran. The past week or so I have been having some pain on my left leg between my calf and my heel, and I cannot for the life of me understand why it's hurting so bad, but I think there is only one explanation. I need new running shoes. I'm not just talking about a casual pair to run in every once in a while, I'm talking a legit pair of running shoes. After all these years, I've never bought a pair of shoes specifically for running, the ones I currently own, were given to me for free and I have plenty of shoes so buying shoes doesn't really happen on my end that often. But either way, I do plan on heading to a running specialty store within the next couple of weeks and properly get fitted for a pair of running shoes. Today's run wasn't too bad, but it also wasn't my best run I've ever had, tomorrow should be fun, and if you know how to get rid of this pain I'm having, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

What did I listen to? Busted Open Radio on Sirius XM Rush

Verse of the Day: Luke 6:20-22, "Then looking up at His disciples, He said: 'Blessed are you who are poor, because the kingdom of God is yours. Blessed are you who are hungry now, because you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, because you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you and slander your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! Take note--your reward is great in heaven, because this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.'"

Today's run wasn't the best, but I'm really glad I did it. Wasn't far, but I'm excited to just keep running when I feel like it and continue to build my confidence in running. Thanks for stopping by, lets do it again tomorrow!
